These are like minded sites that are using some of the concepts we feel have the highest leverage for helping to solve the sustainability problem:

The EcoTipping Points Project - To date, this is the only other website that is attempting to apply the use of feedback loops and leverage points. As the site explains:

EcoTipping Points are levers for restoring sustainability to our imperiled environment. Small actions can make a big difference when they tap the inborn powers of nature and human societies to heal themselves. We use "EcoTipping Point" to mean a lever that can "tip" an eco-social system from one set of mutually reinforcing processes (called a "stability domain" or "attractor basin" in systems jargon) to a stability domain that carries system change in a completely different direction. EcoTipping Points are catalytic, turning the system from decline to health and sustainability.

Your best contact at this site is Gerry Marten, author of Human Ecology.

Are you as surprised as we are that there is only one link in the list so far?

The Dueling Loops

The most popular page on the site by a factor of 3. This paper presents a simple model showing why activists have been unable to solve the sustainability problem, and an alternative solution strategy based on high leverage points.

The Phenomenon of Change Resistance

This is the key concept that starts people thwinking, and causes them to explore the rest of the site. The concept is subtle, but has the potential to change the sustainability problem from insolvable to solvable.

The Powell Memo

The most eye popping short read (7 pages) on the site, if you have never heard about it. The memo was written in 1971.

The Dueling Loops Videos

These average 8 minutes. They give a quick introduction to the Dueling Loops model and how it explains the tremendous change resistance to solving the sustainability problem.
