We have a Meetup group called the Analytical Activists of Atlanta. The group meets on the second Sunday at 2:00PM EST at the Tower. Past meeting turnout has ranged from 5 to 13, though lately this is down to about 5. Quality has been growing. Some folks Skype in, like Scott and Montserrat.

I thought this thread would be useful for planning the agenda for these meetings. Scott, Montserrat, Sam, George, Wilma, Wendell, and anyone else, do you have suggestions for our upcoming meeting on May 13? Perhaps there are topics you'd like to lead or suggest that you feel would benefit the group. Topics tend to be on reports, news, problems, opportunities, strategy, and so on. I think its important for each Thwink.org core team member to have at least one topic to present, as we've done in the past.

Thanks!

Here are the topics we have so far. The first two are at every meeting.
  1. Self-introductions for newcomers. Welcome! Why are you interested in our project? Where do you think it's possible you may be able to plug in and help?
  2. A quick project summary and status review, for ourselves and newcomers.
  3. Jack - Report on software development progress of the Truth Ratings System. This is being done by Applied Imagination, using our prototype as a starting point. The project is going very well, but slow.
  4. Jack - Demonstration of the prototype, with emphasis on its new features. As we go, reactions and suggestions are appreciated.
  5. Jack - Plans on how we will be contacting the fact-check community. Any suggestions?
